Congratulations to iCode Fuquay-Varina on their ribbon cutting! The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate this milestone and introduce the mission behind their work, shared in their own words:

iCode Fuquay-Varina is a STEM education center dedicated to empowering students ages 5–18 through hands-on learning in coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, game development, engineering, and technology.

Our signature Belt Program provides a structured, year-round curriculum that helps students build both technical and problem-solving skills.

We also offer camps, homeschool programs, birthday parties, and community STEM events designed to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Our mission is to equip students with the confidence and skills they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

We are proud to serve the Holly Springs community and help shape tomorrow’s creators, engineers, and leaders.

Please join us in NC Children's to the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce!

NC Children's is a first-of-its-kind partnership between UNC Health and Duke Health, building the Carolinas’ only freestanding children's hospital dedicated exclusively to kids.

North Carolina is the largest state without a freestanding children's hospital. That means some families facing the most complex pediatric diagnoses have no choice but to leave the state for care. There is also a behavioral health crisis impacting children that is quickly becoming one of the greatest threats to the well-being of the children of our state.

NC Children's changes that, for every child, in all 100 counties.

When NC Children’s opens, the pediatric programs from both UNC Health and Duke Health will move to the new campus.

Faculty members from both Schools of Medicine will care for the patients at NC Children’s, conduct translational research, and teach students, residents, and fellows to provide expert care to children.

We are honored to welcome NC Children's Health to our Chamber community and look forward to seeing the lasting impact this partnership will have for children and families across North Carolina.

Congratulations to on their recent ribbon cutting and official welcome to the Holly Springs business community!

Founded by Efrain Mendoza, Camino Wonders is a North Carolina-based company that creates meaningful travel, walking, and community experiences inspired by the Camino de Santiago. The company will proudly celebrate its third anniversary on October 26, 2026.

In addition to organizing personalized Camino journeys in Spain, Camino Wonders supports local communities through educational workshops at community centers, Camino Conversations at local cafés, guided walking experiences, and corporate team-building programs.

Through its podcast, The Way to Your Why, Camino Wonders shares inspiring conversations about personal journeys, leadership, resilience, and purpose. Board Member Spotlight: Julie Shimmel

This month, we are proud to recognize Julie Shimmel, a member of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Practice Manager at Thrive Skin + Wellness.

Julie's path to skincare started in corporate retail, where she spent 25 years building a career that began in cosmetics. She later became a licensed esthetician, and eventually stepped into practice management, work she describes as combining her business background with a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their skin.

Thrive Skin + Wellness, led by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Peter Kreymerman, offers medical skin services including neuromodulators, fillers, PDO threads, microneedling, laser treatments, hormone therapy, facials, and chemical peels for clients throughout Wake County. Julie leads the team that makes the day-to-day of the practice run.

Big news for one of our favorite local gathering spots! Congratulations to Local Time Brewing on a NATIONAL award!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate longtime Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce member and frequent event host, Local Time Brewing, on an outstanding achievement! Their Vinland Honey L***r has earned a Silver Medal at the 2026 Great American B**r Festival, one of the nation's premier b**r competitions!

And this is no small accomplishment. This year's competition featured an impressive 7,267 entries from 1,300 breweries and cideries, evaluated by 225 professional judges. To see a Holly Springs business recognized among some of the best breweries in the country is something our entire community can celebrate!

The award-winning Vinland Honey L***r is an American copper l***r brewed with orange blossom honey, earning its silver medal in the Honey B**r category. It's a wonderful recognition of the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication that owners Chris and Kelly Gallagher, Head Brewer Devin Singley, and the entire Local Time team bring to their work.

Since opening in downtown Holly Springs in 2022, Local Time Brewing has become so much more than a place to enjoy a great b**r. They've created a welcoming space where neighbors gather, friendships grow, and our business community comes together. As a frequent host of Chamber events, they've generously opened their doors to help us build connections and strengthen relationships throughout Holly Springs.

That's what makes this recognition especially meaningful to us. We're not just celebrating an award-winning brewery. We're celebrating a local business that has invested in our community, supported our Chamber, and helped make Holly Springs such a wonderful place to live, work, and gather.

With a second taproom now in Lillington, Local Time continues to grow while staying true to the passion for great b**r, travel, and community that inspired Chris and Kelly to open their doors in the first place.

We had a great turnout for our Member Appreciation Night last Friday! Our members were treated to dinner courtesy of Frankie Frankk's Hot Dog Cart, s’mores, pumpkins, and all the fall vibes via our incredible host venue - The Family Farm on Avent Ferry. Children enjoyed pumpkin painting, animals, and bouncing around on a giant slide provided by Holly Springs Inflatable Rentals. We thank them so much for their support 🎃🧡 Thank you to everyone who came out, brought the family, and allowed us to be a part of your autumn memories. We hope you had an excellent time, and we appreciate you!
