Meg's Smile Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization that provides a special day centered around the child's interests.

We provide this for children that are affected by serious illnesses who are being treated in North Carolina hospitals. Meg's Smile Foundation is a charitable organization that provides a special daythat we like to call smiles. We provide"smiles" to children affected by serious illnesses that are treated in North Carolina Hospitals. Our mission is to bring smiles to the faces of these children and

their families while they are going through what can be a very long and emotional journey. We are ready to help quickly with the families to make the child's special day happen when need be.

This is how (and why) we do it! Earlier today, the Festa Italiana North Carolina 2025 board and committee chairs presented based Meg's Smile Foundation with a check for $10,000, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, vendors, and those of you who came to Festa on September 20, 2025. Grazie mille for helping us have a successful Festa 2025 and more importantly, to be able to help so many children who are battling serious illnesses.

Soon to be 18 year old Gracie loves all things Disney (and Christmas!) and asked for a Disney trip for her Smile. We were so happy to make Gracie and her family's smile to celebrate a milestone birthday!

In honor of sweet Ellie who passed away as an infant in 2015, these amazing volunteers compile, deliver and donate a Thanksgiving comfort bag to families whose babies are having to spend the holiday in the hospital. We were honored to help with items for those 1,000 bags going to 7 of our area hospitals! What a wonderful legacy.

On this World Kindness Day, let’s celebrate something super kind. A couple of weeks ago, Katie continued her cookie fundraising efforts just as she’s done for the past several years. She took pre-orders for her delicious cookies at the Holiday Market, and raised $636.00!!! All proceeds are going directly to the fabulous work of the . THANK YOU, Katie, for your hard work and kindness! Bravo! 🫶🏻 And….thanks to our community for enjoying lots of cookies! Katie, you’ve kicked off our Holiday Cabaret efforts in such a generous way! So proud of you!
