This weekend is bigger than a game.
It’s bigger than a scoreboard, a trophy, or a title.

It’s about 20 years of Hawk history, tradition, pride, and community coming together behind two teams who now have the chance to leave their own mark on it forever.

From the very first graduating class to the Class of 2027… from retired staff members to current students… from former athletes to parents sitting in the stands for the first time — this is what makes Holly Springs High School special.

This weekend, our Hawks will compete for TWO State Championships, and we hope the HSHS community shows up in full force to remind these student-athletes that they carry an entire town behind them.

Calling Students, Faculty, Athletes, Purple Craze..... The Mens Lacrosse team is currently sitting at 7-0.

There is a home game for the men’s varsity lacrosse team tomorrow night, March 24 at 6:00 against our rivals of Middle Creek.

We know the team would love to see a massive turnout to support them. Let's make the Nest LOUD. Let’s go Hawks!🥍💜💛.

We Have a Winner! 🏆

Huge thanks to the 22 parents and coaches who joined us last night for the Golden Hawks Club Interest Meeting! The energy was incredible, and the competition for the $250 Team Prize was tight.

Congratulations to HSHS Cheer for having the most representation (including their head coach!) and taking home the $250 for their team! 📣💪

Golden Hawks Parents! We are kicking off a new chapter for HSHS Athletics, and we want you—and your team—to be part of it.

💰 The $250 Challenge - The HSHS sports program with the highest parent attendance at this meeting wins a $250 grant for their team!
🎁 Door Prizes - We’ll be giving away some HSHS gear and a 26-27 family sports pass $$$.
🍔 Appetizers are on us! - Join us at Hickory Tavern for great food and drinks while we talk shop.

The Purpose: Our goal is to continue to bridge the financial gap in our high school’s sports programs. We’ve spent the last two years modernizing our operations and strengthening our financial foundation, with record breaking fundraising. Now, we are ready to hand the organization over to the next generation of leaders.

What we’ll discuss:
The Team Behind the Teams - The heart of this meeting is volunteering. We are looking for leaders to step into defined, high-impact roles for the upcoming school year. Whether you have two hours a month or two hours a week, we need your talent.

Your Voice - We are taking suggestions for future capital improvements to HSHS athletic facilities.
Open Q&A - Get your questions answered directly by the club leadership.

If your student is on one of the following teams, we need your help. Women's Soccer, Baseball, Men's Golf, Gymnastics, Winter/Spring Track, Stunt or Men's Tennis. There are two more NCSU Football home games remaining and we need adult volunteers from these teams to fill our 18 concession spots. This fundraising activity is key to the booster club hitting our funding goals. These two volunteer opportunities will bring in over $12,000 to the club, if we can fill the spots. $12k is a great number but represents less than 60% of these teams total combined GHBC budget. Every dollar is critical for our athletic teams and we only get there with volunteers.

The games are on Friday the 21st and Saturday the 29th. You can use the calendar link below to sign up. If you are unavailable for your team's assigned game, but are free for the other game, please sign up for the date you are available.

Congrats to the HSHS Football Team! We will be hosting a 1st Round Playoff game on Friday, Nov 7th vs Fuquay-Varina. It should be a great game with a big crowd. Help Needed!! The Golden Hawks Booster Club is urgently seeking 6 volunteers to help run the NC State Football Concession Stand for the game this Sat (11/1) vs GT. The game is at 7:30 and all volunteers must be onsite at 5:30.

This is a major source of funding for HSHS Athletics. We have the potential to earn over $5,000 per game if we can fill all the slots.

Volunteers must be over 18. (HSHS Students who are 18 are welcome to sign-up). All volunteers must complete an online alcohol training course.

THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers who worked the concession stand at NCSU football game on Saturday night. You did an amazing job and helped raise over $5,000 for HSHS Athletics. A Big Thanks to Roy Garcia for being the team leader.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing parents(and coach) volunteers for ran the NCSU Football Concession Stand last night. Men's Basketball and Wrestling parents filled out the majority of the crew with additional support from Volleyball, Football and Lacrosse. Their efforts will raise $5,000-$6,000 for Holly Springs Athletics.

Saturday, Sept 6 is the next NCSU Game and the next opportunity to raise fund for HSHS Athletics. Teams assigned to this game are Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Women's Tennis and Women's Golf; but all team volunteers are welcome. We still need at least 8 more volunteers to sign up ASAP.
