Well we did not connect with a Turkey with Aaron. We had a great time and he got a good show. It was a mature bird that had his group of hens. We got him fired up but he already had his girls picked out!!! It was a good run through with the trackchair and new articulate bogpod we modified to mount to the chair. Also this was the first time loading the fore wheeler and two Trackchairs on the modified snowmobile trailer. Thanks to Bear Ridge Farms Inc. for allowing us to hunt there property. They support us every year during youth season. Thanks to Gobbles and Grunts Chapter of Guiding Kids in Gods Creation and SE OUTDOORS. Got to sare the experience with fourteen other kids!!!

Wheeeewww!!!! That took a minute. Four 410's and the twelve ready to roll. Glad I could use bird shot at 20 yards to zero. It could have gotten real pricey!!! Thanks to Boss Shotshells for hooking us up with their 410 Boss. Let one TSS eat at 35 yards in each gun. Got to make sure they are on when we get the disabled and kids behind the trigger!!!!

This is not the way you treat individuals with mobility issues. The freedom that a individual gets with a trackchair you will never really understand until you witness it.

❗️We have a very unfortunate first❗️

Please be advised as you plan your vacations, that the Home Owner’s Association at Beach Cove Resort has made it clear that they will NOT allow a trackchair to be stored or charged on their premises for mobility impaired guests, including anywhere in the parking garage. We suggest our trackchair users and their families make reservations elsewhere so you can enjoy your vacation with full mobility and unhindered access.

***Updating with information from a buried FB comment from Craig Schneider (evidently the HOA rep):

He’s provided new information to us that the chairs ARE allowed to be stored in their rooms. However, with most of our chairs being 40” wide or more, obviously this still won’t work, so in effect, the messaging is still the same, unless they have giant condo doors I’m unaware of.

He has also commented a list of exceptions to the ADA, so it’s clear he would rather only permit what law requires at this point.

There are hundreds of other options that don’t hassle us AT ALL so we would still recommend choosing one of them instead.

Kitty Fork Annual Veteran/ Active Annual Rabbit Hunt

The Kitty Fork Outdoors rolled out the red carpet as usual hosting The Fallen Outdoors , Battle-Scarred Outdoors and North Carolina Handicapped Sportsmen. We had five families on deck today!!

Arrived at 0630 and got the kids feed with some homemade sausage dogs. Loaded up the hay trailer and headed out. The Beagles hit the ground running and struck up immediately. Five minutes in and we had first rabbit down. Slowed up a little but ended up knocking down three more before lunch!!!!

Homemade chilie was what was for lunch. Rounded out the day raffling a 22LR supply by Eastern Outfitters and a ton of other prizes donated by Sportsman's Wholesale and Sportsman's Warehouse were handed out to all the kids!!

Thank you to Jason Horne and his crew for bringing his amazing pack of rabbit hounds! They were fast and helped our kids be successful!

We were also honored to have the Sampson County House of Representative Candidate Wellie Jackson spend time talking with our veterans and showed him the importances of having these events.

Thanks to all the KFO staff and our community support for hosting us today. The kids smiles said it all!!!!
