Kingdom moment in Nepal!

Praise God! We recently had the joy of traveling to Nepal to meet with a group of local believers and lead a Training for Trainers (T4T) conference, the same church-multiplication method Impact Ethiopia has used to help plant churches across unreached areas of Ethiopia.

About 100 people gathered, hungry to learn, fully engaged, and eager to carry the gospel further into their communities. By the end of the week, the room collectively committed to starting over 300 new small groups. And in just the short time since, we're already hearing of new groups meeting and new people coming to faith!

It was hot, it was humid, it was a small room with a few fans working overtime and every minute of it was worth it. Nepal is a beautiful country, full of beautiful people, and we're so grateful to have gotten to plant a few more seeds of hope, joy, and peace there.

Thank you to everyone who prayed and to Ormond Beach Tomoka Christian Church who gave to make this trip possible! You were part of every single conversation, every small group, and every impact!

Last weekend we had the privilege of gathering about 100 young adults for a two-day conference in Hossana, and it was a great weekend!

These young people are facing real challenges, but they showed up ready to listen and grow. When Mark challenged them to step up as leaders in their communities, no matter their age, almost every single one of them stood to their feet. That moment spoke volumes!

Krista shared from scripture, reminding them that God is bigger than whatever feels impossible in their lives right now. You could feel the shift in the room.

They left encouraged, and before it was over, they were already asking us to come back and do more.

In all our years of ministry, we've done baptisms in rivers, lakes, oceans, and containers filled with water, but never in a water trough. Until now.

This was a first! There was no river nearby and the lake was too far, so we made do with what God provided. Having baptisms in the water trough. Before the baptisms could happen, animal waste had to be scrubbed away from around the trough, a beautiful reminder of the setting. It's fed by a nearby hot spring, so the water was warm (a rare blessing, it's usually cold!).

After the preparation, in the end, 13 people in Abel Abaya dedicated their lives to Christ this April!

A New Partnership is Growing in Ethiopia!

This week, Mark had the incredible privilege of encouraging 80 church planters serving across the Oromia region, all within 100 km of the capital, Addis Ababa.

He shared openly about the reality that missionary work is hard, but that God always breaks through our difficulties. Mark was also able to introduce them to the Training for Trainers method, and they were so encouraged that they invited him back to go through the entire training with them!

This is exactly the kind of door God opens when we show up faithful. We are so excited about what He is going to do through this growing group of church planters!

Wooden crosses, colorful markers, and the truth that we are all beautifully made and united in Christ was a powerful combination, that Ruth and John shared as they visited from VineLife Christian Church last week.

Every adult decorated their cross in a way that was entirely their own, and walked away with a piece of art to hang on the walls of their home. A daily reminder that God created each of us with intention, with beauty, and with purpose. That we are different, and that difference is something to celebrate.

For many, this was a rare and precious moment, time set aside simply to create.
The results were stunning. The joy in the room was even more so.

Thank you, Ruth and John, for carrying this gift all the way to Ethiopia. We are so grateful for VineLife’s partnership!

Last week we delivered 9 chickens and 5 goats to our church plant in Abel Abaya — and we're honestly excited to see where this goes.

After the delivery, Krista did a training so the community could understand exactly how they could use the animals for better health and sustainability. The chickens will reproduce and create a good source of protein from eggs, and when they stop laying, the community can use them for meat. The goats can do the same.

But then Krista introduced an idea that could really transform things if it catches on — drinking the goat's milk. Their eyes opened wide when she said it. Even the translator was confused. They simply don't drink goat's milk here. But if families start giving it to their children, it could make a real difference in their development and help prevent some of the malnutrition happening in the village.

This is still a new idea, and we're watching to see how it unfolds. But we really believe it could be something.

Laughing, eating, singing, sharing, connecting, and digging in with each other and the Lord with this fabulous group of women was so encouraging! Krista helped lead a women’s conference in Addis Ababa. They had a total of 24 women from 8 different countries praising the Lord together! It was truly amazing!! The most amazing news is that 2 ladies recommitted their lives to Christ during the Hope retreat! Praise the Lord!!! Thank you for being a part changing lives here in Ethiopia and beyond!

Women were grown, encouraged, and empowered during last week’s women’s conference. Nearly 100 women gathered for this two-day event, packed into a small area to hear God’s word and apply it to their lives. As always, they enjoyed their time together as Krista and Mushida led the sessions. It was truly a blessed time! This event could not have happened without your support, financially and through prayer!
