Caramel Update ✨(Surgery scheduled in January)
• Fiercely independent, yet happy to snuggle on her terms. Catch the timing just right and you’ve got an excellent nap partner.
• A certified cat-lover who fearlessly engages dog friends more than five times her size.
• Not a fan of Christmas tree skirts (the tree itself remains safe… for now).
• May have slightly wonky eyes, but don’t be fooled — she can lock onto and chase a toy with perfect accuracy every single time.
• Excellent at self-entertaining as long as toys are plentiful. Rubber squeaky toys are the gold standard, though squeaky stuffies will do in a pinch.
• Exceptionally talented at emptying the toy basket. Repeatedly. Thoroughly.
• Takes ankle biting to a whole new level. When redirected, she’ll play with the new toy — but only as long as her human participates. Early velociraptor tendencies noted: sharp teeth, impressive grip strength.
• Big fan of tug-of-war.
• Habitual chewer: shoes, chair rungs, electric cords… and yes, ankles (worth mentioning twice).
• A true zoomie aficionado.
• When she finally powers down (and note: this girl does not sleep the typical 18–20 puppy hours), she climbs the dog stairs onto foster mom’s bed, rearranges the pillows, and burrows into a carefully constructed nest.
• Sleeps a full eight hours overnight in her crate without a p*ep, snuggled up to her giant stuffed lamb and surrounded by toys she relocates daily.
• Uses potty pads for p*e. However, if you miss her “time to go out” signals for p**p, watch your step — area rugs have been declared her indoor restroom of choice.
• New freckles appearing almost daily, growing like a w**d, and already weighing in at 10.4 lbs.
• Confident on stairs (indoors and out) and nearly a pro with pet doors.
• No formal leash or harness training yet, but she’s comfortable in her collar, follows closely outside, and comes when called.
• Adorable. Hilarious. Full of personality.
Definitely needs a dog sibling.
