August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day—a time to remember the lives lost to overdose, support those who are grieving, and recognize that overdose affects individuals, families, and communities everywhere.

🕯️ We remember those we have lost.
💜 We support those who are grieving.
🤝 We stand with people in recovery and those working toward prevention.
💙 We work together to prevent future loss.

Overdose is preventable, and every life matters. By increasing awareness, reducing stigma, expanding access to treatment and recovery supports, and making lifesaving resources like naloxone readily available, we can help save lives.

Today, we remember.
Today, we raise awareness.
Every day, we work toward a community where fewer lives are lost to overdose.
