An Update Regarding HOW Hollister

The Hollister chapter of Helping One Woman is officially entering a "season of rest." We are pausing our monthly events effective immediately.

We want to thank our amazing sponsors, supporters, local businesses, and attendees who have made our past dinners so impactful. While we won’t be meeting for now, the spirit of "One Woman at a Time" remains.

We are excited to kick off 2026 with our first dinner of the year!! Diana Mendoza is a single mother, with a young daughter battling neuroblastoma cancer. She is facing a battle no mother or child should ever have to face. Please join us next month at our new location to support Diana!!

What a year it has been with these Women we Represent!! We have helped 11 women and have raised an amazing amount for them and their families!! We continue to thank our community and our leaders Cassie Traina Maddie Kennedy, these two women have carried this chapter with a skeleton crew, but they made it happen!!

We are honored to announce our November recipient Primavera Gonzalez! She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer after being admitted to the hospital in August of 2025 for sever abdominal pain! Please join us at Damn vineyards to support this strong women in her on going fight!

We are proud to announce or October recipient Rocio Bermudez! She was born and raised here in Hollister where is has raised her family and is an active member in her church. Rocio was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure and was started with dialysis. In 2019 things took a turn when she was placed in a medical coma due to fluid in her lungs. As she continued to fight she faced another severe infection last year. During this time she has remained strong in her faith and has had support from her husband and two sons! Please come out October 28th at 5:30 to show your support!

We are honored to announce our September recipient Sandy Bautista! Sandy has been a proud Hollister resident for her entire life, she’s been a dedicated bus driver and is a loving grandmother. Sandy has taken guardianship of her 16 year old granddaughter who has recently suffered cardiac arrest. She was diagnosed with a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Sandy is by her granddaughters side as she is up at Stanford in the ICU unit as she goes through open heart surgery. Please come show your support at our dinner held on September 23rd.
