Nissitissit River Land Trust, Inc. The Nissitissit River Land Trust is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the Nissitissit River.

The Nissitissit River Land Trust was incorporated under the Laws of New Hampshire on December 26, 1968. The New England Wild Flower Preservation Society, Inc. in 1962 sparked events that led to organization of the Trust. Representatives of public and private organizations that worked together to establish the Trust include: Beaver Brook Association, Hollis; Massachusetts Department of Natural Reso

urces; Fish and Game Departments of New Hampshire and Massachusetts; New Hampshire Natural Preserves Forum; New Hampshire Office of Planning and Research; Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests; Town Conservation Commissions of Hollis and Brookline, New Hampshire and Pepperell, Massachusetts; and New England Wild Flower Preservation Society, Inc.

Friends of our rivers and greenways, join us in celebrating Marion Stoddart in Groton MA on Friday, Oct. 25. Free and open to all.

Marion Stoddart (born May 26, 1928) is a citizen activist and community leader best known for her success in mobilizing a massive citizen effort to restore the Nashua River, once one of the 10 most polluted rivers in America.

The 30-minute documentary "Marion Stoddart: Work of 1000" will be shown as part of the program.
