Look what Ben is up to! 🐢🔍

Our Wildlife Research & Monitoring Coordinator, Ben Thyng, has been out in the field continuing important research and monitoring work with one of New Hampshire’s rarest reptiles — the Blanding’s Turtle.

With their bright yellow throats and incredible lifespan, Blanding’s Turtles are a special species that rely on healthy wetlands and protected habitat to survive. Ben’s work helps us better understand and protect these amazing animals right here in our region.

Not all superheroes wear capes… some wear muddy boots, wadders and carry science equipment. 💚🌿

*Please Note- All specimens are handled with proper scientific permits and are promptly released back where they are found*

🚨 Important Update 🚨

We’ve been notified of a brush fire on Proctor Hill Road, on the opposite side of the Jeff Smith Trailhead parking area (event center side).

The Hollis and Brookline Fire Departments are actively managing the situation and have asked that the public stay clear of the area.

Please avoid this section of the property so firefighters can do their work safely and without added concern.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
