The Town of Hollis and Silver Lake Improvement Association is hosting a 90-minute presentation on March 27th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Kat Kelleher of NH Lakes will present Lake Friendly Practices: Save Our Lakes and Ponds and will be sharing information that could help improve water quality in our community. Sign up to attend the event at https://lake-friendlypractices.as.me/schedule/bfd05879

Everyone in Hollis is encouraged to attend. We’d especially like residents who live in the Silver Lake watershed area to be a part of this gathering. The watershed encompasses Silver Hill Park, Federal Hill Road, Patch Road Silver Lake Road, and Long Hill Road.

Our work is focused on identifying water quality problems, such as cyanobacteria, and finding solutions. We hope to empower community members to take action to improve water quality at Silver Lake (and other lakes and ponds in our town).

This presentation is one of the recommendations from the consultants, FB Environmental, who the Town of Hollis contracted with (and funded through a grant/forgivable loan) to help us address increased occurrences of cyanobacteria blooms.
