⚾ Groundskeeper W***y’s State Tournament Edition ⚾

🐅 A State Tournament Run to Remember

Every tournament journey eventually comes to an end, but this one gave Hollidaysburg plenty to be proud of.

Hollidaysburg 12U Navy saw its impressive Pennsylvania Little League State Tournament run come to a close Saturday with a 9-3 loss to East Side Little League, a team the Tigers battled twice during the tournament.

Hollidaysburg struck first in the opening inning when CJ B delivered an RBI single, and the Tigers continued to battle throughout the afternoon. Ronan D added a solo home run in the fifth inning, while Aiden A paced the offense with a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate.

On the mound, Aiden A battled against a talented East Side lineup, striking out six, while the defense continued to flash its fundamentals by turning two double plays.

While the final score wasn’t the ending this group had hoped for, it doesn’t define what they accomplished.

This team captured the District 11 Championship, followed it up by winning the Section 4 Championship, and earned the opportunity to represent Hollidaysburg on the state stage. Along the way, they produced memorable comebacks, big home runs, outstanding pitching performances, and countless moments that players, coaches, and families will remember for years to come.

To the players—thank you for the effort, passion, and teamwork you showed all summer.

To the coaches—thank you for the countless hours spent preparing, teaching, and believing in this group.

And to the parents, volunteers, and fans who packed the stands all season long—thank you for supporting Hollidaysburg baseball every step of the way.

Only one team finishes on top, but this group accomplished something special. They represented Hollidaysburg with class, resilience, and pride, and that’s something worth celebrating.

⸻

And with that, Groundskeeper W***y hangs up the rake for another season.

It’s been a pleasure sharing the stories, celebrating the big moments, and following these teams from Opening Day through Districts, Sectionals, and the State Tournaments. Thank you to everyone who read, shared, commented, and supported Hollidaysburg baseball all summer long.

Until next season… keep cheering, keep supporting our kids, and keep making memories at the ballpark.

Go Tigers! 🐅⚾
