Small panels, big impact - our 6x6 Exhibition is BACK! πŸ‘

Whether you've been in the studio for years or you haven't picked up a paintbrush since grade school, this one's for you! 🫡 Starting August 24th, stop by the Arts Council to grab your free 6"x6" panel, then make it yours - paint it, draw on it, collage it, mix it up, however you want to create. πŸ€—

Get your finished piece back to us by October 23rd and it'll join 199 others for our big exhibition, where all 200 works go up for sale at $40 each - with 100% of every sale going straight back into our programs! It's a fun, low-pressure way to try something new, support the arts, and see your work hanging alongside your neighbors'. (And if yours doesn't sell, it becomes part of the Arts Council's collection for future events - so it keeps giving back either way!)

Come making something small that means a lot. 🎨 https://hollandarts.org/call-for-artists

Every design on this runway started as a piece of art. Our Art for All artists have spent the year watching their own paintings and drawings come to life as wearable pieces - and on September 21st, they're walking them down the runway themselves!

Come cheer them on: Art for All Fashion Show, Monday, September 21st at 7pm! Free to attend - RSVP requested! https://hollandarts.org/events/art-for-all-fashion-show

Something spooky's brewing here πŸ‘»! We're excited to open the call for Beware the Artist: A Spooky Call to Artists, a juried exhibition all about "The Eerie and the Unseen" - folk, superstitions, lore, gothic landscapes, whatever's been lurking in the back of your sketchbook. πŸ‘€

Open to artists 15+, up to three pieces made in the last three years, no submission fee! Submissions close September 2, so there's time to pull something together, but don't let it sneak up on you! 🫣

Accepted work is due (install-ready!) by September 28th, and we'll celebrate everyone's work at our "Ghoulish Night" opening reception - October 9th, 5:30pm, with a costume contest and food.

Come make something strange with us. Link to submit here: https://bit.ly/4g36dsh

Some of the best art comes from the hardest parts of a story. Erin Mullis Art Studio has been open about how her sobriety shaped the work in our current exhibition - and we're grateful she trusted us with both the art and the story behind it. "The Practice of Curiosity" runs until September 5th.
