Join us for a virtual Canvassing Training led by Indivisible Chicago on Thursday, September 10, 6:30–8:00 PM EST (please note - the link may show Central Time - because they are in Chicago!) Indivisible Chicago is hosting this training to prepare volunteers for door-to-door canvassing in Southwest Michigan — one of the seats that could decide control of the U.S. House, plus a toss-up Senate race and open statewide races for Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General.

Sign up with this link.

Whether you’ve never canvassed before or just need to knock the rust off, this training will walk you through everything: what to expect, step-by-step guidance, and time for all your questions.

The first in-person canvassing you can join will happen just after training on Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 AM EST. More dates and times will be available on later dates, if this one doesn’t work for your schedule. Sign up for this dates at

https://www.mobilize.us/indivisiblechicago/event/931534/?

Note: the registration links display each event time in Central Time (Chicago) — the times above are already converted to Eastern for us, but double-check before you head out.

This isn’t just about November! Every election in this midterm will impact the national election coming in 2028. The work we do at the doors now builds the volunteer base and relationships we’ll need for that fight too.

No experience necessary, and you’ll be paired with a veteran canvasser if it’s your first time out. Carpools and transportation are organized as well.

Sign up and let’s get to work! Looking forward to seeing you on the streets!

Tuesday! TuesDAY!! TUESDAY !! AUG 25! One Day! Two Actions!

First come out to a City of Grand Rapids Public Safety Meeting at 12:30pm where the talk of the town will be ALPR technology in the community, with a special highlight on Flock Safety Cameras. A representative from Flock has been invited out to this meeting, so now is the time to let your city council members know that this representative can take the cameras down while they are here. ALPR technology has proven to be fallible either by human hand and AI alike- nefarious and otherwise- and by the system itself.

We hold that it is also a violation of our 4th Amendment rights and as such we demand a removal of these devices from our street corners.

Next! Come back at 5:30pm to Protest with us before the evening Coty of Gramd Rapids Commission Meeting (begins 7:00pm).

Advocate for Sanctuary City policies, an end to ICE collaboration, and removal of ALPR technology from our city streets!

Join us in solidarity for our neighbors! Stand with us in joy as we speak out loudly for our community!

Privacy is power. Power to the people!

Join us Tuesday as we let our elected leaders we do not want to be spied on.

We don't want our tax funded GRPD assisting masked ICE agents who are kidnapping our immigrant family and friends without judicial warrant or due process.

We don't want our tax dollars being used to fund mass surveillance tools and AI tracking software.

Residents never consented to constant and inescapable surveillance in Grand Rapids and Kent County. We should have a say, and we say GET THE FLOCK OUT!
