Neighbors Plus Outreach

🏃 You may know Park2Park as a race. We know it as so much more.

The Gentex Park2Park Half Marathon & 5K is a fundraiser for Neighbors Plus, helping us continue serving local kids, families, and neighbors in our community.

Now, we need volunteers to help make race day happen! 🙌

Join us on Saturday, September 26 to help with water stations, course support, race-day logistics, and more. Grab a friend and be part of a day that makes a difference long after the finish line.

💙 Help Us Fill Our Hand2Hand Pantry! 💙

We’re excited to partner with Lakeshore Elementary through Hand2Hand to help provide weekend food bags for students who may experience food insecurity when school is not in session.

We’re currently stocking our pantry with kid-friendly, shelf-stable foods that can easily be packed into weekend bags—and we need your help!

🛒 Check out our current needs in the graphic below
📦 Items should be nonperishable, unexpired, manufacturer-packaged, and in small/personal sizes
🛍️ Want an easy way to help? Shop our Hand2Hand Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2I540DUV2IVZ1?ref_=wl_share

Every item donated helps make sure a local child has food to take home for the weekend. Thank you for helping us care for kids in our community!

Our team has loved spending the first two weeks of summer at West Olive Estates! ☀️

Throughout the week, we're helping create opportunities for kids to gather, enjoy a meal, play games, make crafts, and build friendships. It's been a joy to see so many smiles, laughter, and connections already this summer.

We're grateful for the opportunity to partner with others in our community like Meet Up and Eat Up to serve families and create fun, welcoming spaces for children throughout the summer months.

A big thank you to the amazing team members who have been leading activities and investing in kids!

☀️ Summer is in full swing at Great Escape Day Camp, and we've had an amazing first couple of weeks!

From games and crafts to outdoor adventures and new friendships, our campers have been making memories and having a blast. We wanted to share a few of our favorite moments so far! 📸

Did you know there's still time to join us this summer?

One of the best things about Great Escape is our flexible scheduling. Whether you need care for one day, one week, a few weeks, or the rest of the summer, we're happy to work with your family's schedule.

Great Escape is open to students entering Kindergarten through 7th grade in the Fall, and we'd love to welcome your child this summer!

Registration and program information can be found here: https://www.neighborsplus.org/great-escape-registration.html

Last week, we wrapped up Kids Hope for the school year with end of year celebrations! 🎉

What a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together for kids. There is something really special about the way these relationships grow over time. Kids show up, mentors show up, and together they build something meaningful that supports learning, confidence, and belonging. 🩵

A huge thank you to our mentors, volunteers, and school partners who made this possible. Your presence matters more than you know.

Already looking forward to all that next year will bring!

A huge thank you to the amazing volunteer team from 4Front Credit Union for spending part of their day helping organize and sort donations in our Market! We are so grateful for your hard work and servant hearts. Plus, you were a lot of fun!💚

We also want to thank the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce for coordinating Community Impact Day and helping connect local businesses with organizations making a difference in our community. Days like this remind us how strong our community is when we come together to serve others!
