Recovery is rarely a straight line. It helps to have a safe place to land while you find your footing.

That's exactly what Building Men For Life offers - sober living housing for men in recovery, built around structure, peer support, and certified recovery coaching. As a NARR-recognized organization, their focus is simple: give participants real tools to stay on track and build a better life for themselves and the people around them.

We're glad to welcome them as part of the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance.

Last Thursday, a room full of nonprofit leaders sat down to ask a hard question: is your culture helping your mission, or working against it?

Executive Directors and their teams dug into what their culture actually looks like, where it's helping (or hurting), and what they can do about it as leaders. Lots of honest conversation, a few "oh, that's us" moments, and real tools to bring back to their teams.

Thank you to Linda Milanowski-Westdorp for facilitating and to every leader who showed up ready to dig in.

Volunteer Coordinator Learning Circle: Retaining Volunteers Over Time

What keeps volunteers coming back? This month's Learning Circle digs into building lasting relationships with volunteers, weaving recognition into everyday interactions, and spotting the early signs that engagement is starting to fade.

Come share what's working (and what's not) with fellow coordinators facing the same challenges.

Who should attend: Volunteer Coordinators, Volunteer Managers, Program Managers, and anyone involved in volunteer engagement.

LNA members only please. Register: https://loom.ly/cjSGCjU

Throwing it back to last Tuesday's Small Nonprofit Collective, where we dug into Strategic Vision Mapping with Dayna Beal!

This proven process helps organizations get clear on:

WHY we exist
WHAT we do and WHO we serve
WHERE we're going and HOW we'll get there

Attendees left with the start of their own vision map to bring back to their teams. Grateful for facilitators like Dayna who help our members lead with clarity and purpose.
