A Community Partnership (Who We Are)
Since 2010, members of the West Michigan community have partnered together with Blood:Water Mission and GRAMMY award winning band Jars of Clay to help provide clean water and HIV/AIDS care in Africa. 9+ years of partnership that has helped thousands of people gain access to life’s most basic needs.
While some faces and names have changed over the years, the partnership has held strong. Churches, schools, and friends have come together to use their God-given talents and resources to put together amazing fundraising campaigns and events. We have even jammed out with our friends Jars of Clay for multiple intimate concerts!
Now, Blood:Water Mission has asked us if we would like to make this partnership even more personal, by partnering directly with our brothers and sisters in Africa. COPRED, a community development organization based in the Neno District of Malawi has partnered with Blood:Water Mission to eradicate poverty & mitigate the negative impacts of HIV/AIDS in their community. And now, WE get to partner with COPRED and Blood:Water Mission. A group of three dedicated servants working for a better future in Malawi!
West Michigan Blood:Water Mission Community Partnership is led by a small group of volunteers including: Jane Clark, Joel Schoon-Tanis, Hannah Clark, Carin Arvidson, Linda Dykert, Jeannine Ferguson, Reni Hountras, Sandi Brown, Jill & Brad Koning, Cathy Hamilton, Kerrie VerLee, and Matt Clark. But we NEED your help! Our goal is to put together at least one fundraising event or campaign per month through 2020! We are looking for a "host" to take charge of an event or fundraising campaign each month in an effort to raise $165,000 by the end of 2020.
