Why We Dance Wednesday☀️
Meet Hank, the director of internal affairs! This is why he does Dance Marathon:

I participate in Hope College Dance Marathon because I believe every child deserves the care and support that allows them to simply be a kid. During my four years at Hope, Dance Marathon has become my favorite weekend of the year, and it’s an opportunity to provide support and hope for local families that have gone through so much in their lives. The way our campus surrounds our miracle families and unites for this marathon is what makes it such a special annual Hope College event. Knowing even a small contribution can make a huge difference in these families’ lives is why I continue to stay involved with Dance Marathon. Beyond excited for the year ahead!

Why We Dance Wednesday☀️
Meet Lorraine, the director of external affairs! This is why she does Dance Marathon:

My why is to cherish and celebrate the lives of others by pouring my heart into something bigger than myself and using my life to make a lasting difference in the lives of children. Programs like Dance Marathon have served my family in some of our darkest moments. I have experienced firsthand the light that these services can bring to families when they need it most. I have seen how the generosity of others can turn some of the darkest moments into moments of hope. So with every hour I stand, every dollar I raise, and every smile that I can’t quite contain, I know that we are raising money not only to provide essential care for pediatric patients at Helen DeVos, but to be a light that shines bright in families’ hardest moments. Every day I wake up breathing and alive, I know I have another opportunity to choose love, create hope, serve the Lord, and be a light for children and families receiving treatment at Helen DeVos. I am beyond blessed and grateful to have the ability to make something so special for so many kiddos through Hope Dance Marathon.

Why We Dance Wednesday☀️
Meet Ana, the director of logistics! This is why she does Dance Marathon:

I dance for our miracle kids and their families. Seeing the positive impact that all of our hard work throughout the year has reminds me that what we do truly matters. Through our support we allow kids to be kids and assure them that they are not alone. Being a part of Dance Marathon has given me purpose and a new perspective, and I’m proud to be part of something that makes such a meaningful difference.
