🍽️ Pint-Sized Chefs is cooking up fun and learning this summer!

To kick things off, our young chefs designed their own digestive system aprons as they prepare to explore how our bodies process the foods we eat. Each week, members will learn about a different part of the digestive system and discover the important role it plays in keeping us healthy.

Hands-on learning, creativity, and healthy habits are all on the menu this summer! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳🥕🍎

🎉Happy Fidget Trading Friday! 🎉

Each Friday, members connect with friends while trading their favorite fidget toys and discovering new treasures. Beyond the fun, this ongoing activity helps youth practice important life skills such as honesty, fairness, communication, sharing, and good sportsmanship.

It's a great opportunity for members to build friendships, strengthen social skills, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. 💙

Our HER ERA event brought together 90 girls, volunteers, facilitators, panelists, sponsors, and community partners for an inspiring day centered on confidence, connection, belonging, leadership, wellness, and future possibilities.

The conversations, relationships, and feedback that emerged throughout the day reinforced just how important it is to create spaces where girls feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

A huge thank you to Mary, Kyah, our incredible staff team, volunteers, facilitators, panelists, sponsors, and community partners who helped bring this event to life. HER ERA was truly a collaborative effort, and its success reflects the collective investment of so many people who care deeply about the next generation.

Together, we are helping young women build confidence, discover their potential, and step boldly into their future. 💙

Staff vs. Members Basketball Game 🏀

Friday's Staff vs. Members Basketball Game was a huge success! Our members had an incredible time competing alongside staff, showing off their skills, and creating lasting memories together.

A special thank you to West Ottawa Public Schools for allowing us to use their gym. Playing on the varsity court made the experience even more exciting, and our members absolutely loved the opportunity. We are grateful for community partners who help make special experiences like this possible! Our CEO even laced back up the sneakers and got in on the fun!

We had a great time learning, growing, and leading together at our all-staff conference last week. We are excited to implement our learnings to better serve our youth and function more effectively as a greater team!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for spending your time making a difference at the Club! We’re especially grateful to .language.academy for bringing such an amazing group of 5th graders to volunteer with us, and to for organizing another incredible day of service for our community.

Today, we remember and honor Craig Spoelhof, whose leadership, compassion, and unwavering belief in young people helped shape the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland into what it is today.

During his 13 years as CEO, Craig led with both vision and heart, expanding opportunities for youth, strengthening community partnerships, and helping grow the Club to now serve more than 4,000 young people annually. His passion for empowering kids and creating meaningful change touched countless lives and leaves a legacy that will continue for generations to come.

Many of us had the privilege of knowing Craig personally and witnessing the joy, care, and purpose he brought to this mission every day. We are deeply grateful for all he gave to the Club, our community, and the young people we serve.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Craig’s family, friends, and all who were impacted by his extraordinary life.

Our members had a great time participating in the parade and helping manage parking lots on Saturday.
