Island of Hope – May, 2026 Report Summary
A Month Filled With Hope, Growth, and Life-Changing Support
Thanks to the generosity of partners like you, the Island of Hope continued to bring safety, stability, and joy to children and families affected by war. May was especially meaningful as we celebrated 10 years of serving vulnerable children. Your support made every one of these moments possible.
Transforming Lives Through Compassionate Care
3D Days – Spreading Kindness Across the Community
•Volunteers and children visited 30 individuals in need.
•These visits teach children empathy, responsibility, and the joy of giving back.
Individual Therapy & Trauma Support
•One-on-one sessions help children process trauma and rebuild trust.
•Mentors provide emotional safety, life skills, and positive role models.
Children’s Center
A haven where children can learn, play, and heal. In May alone:
•368 visits
•26 open days
•1,363 hours of care. Activities include crafts, Bible reading, environmental lessons, homework help, and inclusive programs for children with autism.
Education That Opens Doors
Tablet & Interactive Floor Learning
•Makes learning fun and engaging.
•Strengthens skills in reading, math, and critical thinking.
Catch Up Education Program
Helping children who have fallen behind due to war or displacement:
•24 meetings, 109 visits in May.
•Personalized learning plans and small group instruction.
•Parents are active partners in their child’s progress.
Robotics & STEM
•31 sessions, 52 children, 188 visits.
•Hands-on engineering and programming build creativity and confidence.
Autism Support
•9 classes, 48 visits, 8 regular participants.
•Children show remarkable growth in communication and social engagement.
Psychological First Aid & Recovery Lessons
•Art therapy, emotional regulation, and group support.
•Helps children regain academic confidence and emotional stability.
Sports, English, and Creative Expression
Multi Sport Program
•23 classes for children from two schools and the center.
•Builds teamwork, resilience, and healthy habits.
English Language Classes (New!)
•Play-based learning introduces vocabulary and conversation skills.

Opens future educational and career opportunities.
Family Art Therapy
•4 sessions, 23 participants.
•Strengthens parent-child bonds and reduces stress through creativity.
