Grant Me Hope

Grant Me Hope Finding forever homes for foster children before they age out alone facing homelessness. These children will then be featured on local TV Stations.

In September 2014 an idea was founded to help foster children find adoptive homes before they turn 18 and term out of the foster care system. Helen Zeerip, President of Teddy's Transport partnered with Pathways, MI, Fusion Graphics, Michigan DHS and MARE.org and are raising funds to produce videos of the older children available for adoption in Michigan. We want to grant these children the hope they deserve.

Are you planning to join us for our 11th annual FAMILY FUNFEST?
We hope you will! This year we're bringing back "Stuff the Truck!" to ensure the racks and shelves at the Grant Me Hope Thrift store stay stocked.

Our thrift store is open to everyone, of course, but it is also a foster closet for area foster families. Foster parents and children may visit any time and shop for free for clothing, shoes, backpacks for school, blankets, stuffed animals and so much more.

Plan to join us Saturday, Sept. 19, and bring the gently used clothes, shoes, bags, household items and more that you are no longer using. Learn more at:

The third Grant Me Hope Home is mere weeks from opening as a Independent Living Plus program home. There is no way we would have been ready without the extraordinary help from ODL, a supplier of wholesale building supplies, located in Zeeland. An incredible crew showed up at the Mackenzie House and worked inside and out for several hours preparing the house and yard. What a great group of people!

The state of Michigan's Independent Living Plus program is for foster youth focused on becoming independent. Grant Me Hope will teach budgeting, how to grocery shop, prepare meals, and life skills necessary for independent living.

Thank you, ODL!

Jerry has a lot of energy, and what he needs is some older siblings to keep up with and look up to! He enjoys being outdoors—riding bikes, playing at the park, walking through the neighborhood or the woods, and spending time at the beach.

This curious 7-year-old only recently became available for adoption in Michigan. He's described as affectionate and is said to seek closeness from the adults in his life.
