The Bergabowski has made the news again.

The Bergabowski, a new beer at Oddside Ales, is brewed with a drought-tolerant native plant called bergamot. They're hoping it can help raise awareness about the groundwater issues in Ottawa County.

Before you buy more plants for your yard, know that Michigan is home to a wide range of interesting and beautiful native plants. These plants can be a little harder to get compared to just grabbing whatever is available at a box store, but they are available. It’s no secret areas of Ottawa County face groundwater scarcity. One solution - native plants!

Join us at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 as we ‘pour’ over the facts surrounding groundwater while Odd Side Ales and nonprofit Restoration Earth unveils their new IPA infused with a locally harvested and water-sipping native plant - wild bergamot.

This educational event is free and open to the public. A special thanks to Odd Side Ales and Restoration Earth for raising awareness by producing this beverage, and Ottawa Conservation District for their support.
