The Tejano Society of Holland Michigan is saddened to hear of the passing of Tejano/Conjunto vocalist Marky Lee Rojas who lost his battle with over the weekend. 😢 We had the honor of talking with Marky Lee and The Hometown Boys following their performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan back on August 7, 2016 (check out this video of his performance with The Hometown Boys).
R.I.P. Marky Lee. 😢 Thank you for the memories and music. 🎶 You will not be forgotten by your fans in Michigan (and across the country), carnal! Condolences to his family and friends. 🙏

Tejano Nation has learned that Tejano music icon Jimmy Gonzalez passed away. He was 67.

The New Year is fast approaching!
Ring in 2018 "Tejano Style" at Rick Mora Promotions' "Puro Tejano" New Years Eve dance, Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 at the Holland VFW Post 2144 (175 W. 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423), featuring Grand Rapids, MI's-own Grupo Viento de Los Hermanos Valdez and Tejano Sound Wave DJ, and just recently announced George Martinez Y Los Hermanos Martinez! Doors will open at 8 p.m.. Dance will begin at 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. Monday morning! Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. There will also be a Cash bar, lots of fun and great Tejano music!
