Holland Community Service Club - Minutes from June 9, 2026
The Holland Community Service Club met for its monthly meeting on June 9, 2026, at the First Baptist Church at 5:30pm. Attending: Phil Hawes, Rollie & Donna Bell, Janette Long, Linda Russell, Rusty Nicholls, Doris Lange and Joyce Martinets.

Items discussed on June 9:

1. Flags/Memorial – The group discussed going forward with the veteran’s memorial idea. Jake Arnold will do base and excavation of the site at approximately $2,000. Approximately $1700 will be needed for the flag pole and $750 for benches. Estimates are needed for sign panels (Holland Veteran’s Memorial) plus military emblems. Bricks can go on the ground around memorial. Bricks could be used as a fundraiser in honor/memory of loved ones. Linda Russell will get sample bricks. We need to start advertising about the veteran’s memorial in fall after all estimates have been received. Matt Bell has donated $500 towards expenses of the memorial. We need to ask John Carter, Brad Buckley, Ralph Snyder, and Holland Chamber of Commerce plus many others for funds for this project. Flags will be put out on July 2 and taken down on July 6 for 4th of July.

The UK government issued a nine-page behavioral guide for asylum seekers explaining that women have equal rights, can make their own decisions, and must consent to s*x.

That is an indictment of a completely broken immigration system.

No government should need to hand newcomers a pamphlet explaining that women have rights or that r**e is wrong. These are among the most basic standards of civilized society.

If someone needs those lessons spelled out by the government, they have no business being welcomed into the country in the first place.

Western Civilization has every right to defend its values, protect its people, and demand that anyone seeking entry respect the most basic rules of a civilized society.
