Our days are filled with noise, responsibilities a

Yet faith often deepens in the quiet moments when we make room for God.

Prayer does not always require the right words or an answer to every question. Sometimes it simply asks us to be still, to listen and to trust that God is present.

Our Catholic community is made stronger by the many people who share in its mission—families, parishioners, educators, clergy, volunteers.

Each brings different gifts, but together we help create a place where faith is nurtured, relationships are strengthened and future generations can flourish.

Last week, we had the opportunity to gather with many of the generous donors who help make this mission possible. Their support—and the support of so many throughout our community—reminds us that faith grows stronger when we grow together. Not all growth is visible.

Sometimes the most important work happens quietly—in prayer, in patience, in trust, and in the small choices we make each day.

As we tend the gardens entrusted to us, may we remember that God is at work even when we cannot yet see what is growing.

Faith rarely grows all at once.

It is nurtured through prayer, strengthened through community, and formed through countless small moments of encountering Christ.

We can plant the seeds and faithfully tend what has been entrusted to us, but Scripture reminds us that it is God who gives the growth.

As we begin this new season of Tending the Garden, may we continue creating opportunities for faith to take root—in our children, our families and throughout our Catholic community. “I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6

Learning takes root when children are given opportunities to explore, question, create and discover the gifts God has given them.

Through the generosity of our donors, the Corpus Christi Foundation helps provide resources and experiences that enrich Catholic education and support the growth of the whole child—mind, heart and spirit.

As we begin Tending the Garden, we celebrate the teachers, families and supporters who help create an environment where our students can learn, flourish and grow.

For the past year, the Corpus Christi Foundation has celebrated the many ways we are Planting Seeds for the Future—seeds of faith, learning, community, and legacy.

But planting is only the beginning. A garden flourishes when it is tended with patience, care and hope. As we begin a new year, we invite you to join us in Tending the Garden—nurturing the faith being formed in our children, strengthening opportunities for learning, caring for the communities that bring us together, and building a legacy that will sustain our Lakeshore Catholic community for generations to come.

The seeds have been planted. Together, let us help them grow.

This Labor Day, we give thanks for the countless ways people serve God and one another through their daily work.
Whether in a classroom, on a construction site, in a hospital, an office, a parish, a factory, or at home caring for loved ones, our work becomes an opportunity to reflect God's love in the world.
The Church reminds us that work is more than a job—it is a way of using the gifts God has entrusted to us for the good of others.
Today, we pray for all workers, for those seeking employment, for those preparing for retirement, and for young people discerning the path God is calling them to follow.
