Less than one month until school starts! We hope you're enjoying your summer!
Please consider joining and participating in the Great Lakes PTO this year. We have had a very small group of parents that regularly attend meetings and we could really use more help.

We have officer openings for President and Vice-President, and we really need someone to be in charge of fundraising events like the Color Run that we've done in the past. We could also use someone to help with social media. As we approach the kickoff of the new school year, please think about how you can help. We'd appreciate it!

Looking for a quick and easy Taco Tuesday dinner idea? Join us tonight for a fundraiser at the Holland Chipotle!
Show this flyer in the restaurant tonight from 5-9 PM (students got a copy at school yesterday or today) or use the code on the flyer if you're ordering online.
A percentage of the profits will go directly to the Great Lakes PTO so we can keep providing supplies, books, and events for our students and staff.

The Great Lakes Boo was an amazing success!
Thanks to those of you who donated, and thanks to our food trucks: Kitchen 55, Wok Me Up, Taqueria and Mini Cakes for joining us.

I was so busy handing out candy and organizing that I didn't take many photos, oops! Drop some here if you've got 'em!

Help Needed:
PTO helps to arrange dinner for teachers and staff on the Monday of conferences - what a long day it is for them.
One of our amazing families is going to smoke some pork for our main dish, but if you could help us out by signing up to bring a side, dessert, paper products, etc. we'd appreciate it! Items need to be dropped off at Great Lakes by Monday afternoon.

A Great Lakes family has generously offered to make smoked pulled pork for the staff to enjoy on one of their long Parent/Teacher Conference days.
