Holland Free Health Clinic

Holland Free Health Clinic We are a Christian health ministry that ensures access to health services for the underserved.

Holland Free Health Clinic (HFHC) acts as a local health safety net for those with medical needs and no place to turn. Our purpose is to ensure access to health services for the underserved, providing free care with a holistic approach that addresses needs of the mind, body, and spirit. Since 2002, we have assisted thousands in our community with prescription medications, eye and dental care, foot

care, hearing aids, counseling, diabetes support and spiritual care. Each patient is initially evaluated through a thorough financial needs assessment to ensure that resources go to those with the greatest need. Strong partnerships with volunteer health providers utilize their time, talents, and generosity, which allows HFHC to provide these crucial services to our patients at no cost to them. HFHC strategically plans programs and services to correlate with the identified healthcare gaps specific to the greater Holland and Zeeland area. Our care goes beyond treatment and places great emphasis on prevention and education. HFHC programs are designed to help the patient understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and empower them to take control of their health.

Holland Free Health Clinic has been awarded grant funding for a flexible part-time opportunity for a Dental Hygienist.

HFHC serves uninsured adults across Ottawa & Allegan Counties who struggle to access dental care. A day or two per week from you could make a real difference in someone's life.

If you're a hygienist looking for meaningful work that doesn't add to your burnout, or you know someone who is β€” we'd love to talk!

Email: [email protected] to inquire.

πŸ’™ It's normal to feel all kinds of things during hard times β€” or not much at all. Either way is okay.

We're so grateful this resource exists in our community: Community Mental Health of Ottawa County offers a 24-Hour Help Line for anyone who could use support right now, and can connect you to further resources if needed.

HFHC is proud to be a National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) member. Access to care shouldn't depend on your income or insurance status. Free and charitable clinics exist to close that gap, and the need keeps growing.

Numbers like this aren't just stats, they're real people getting care they couldn't otherwise afford, thanks to volunteers, donors, and partners who show up for their neighbors.

Show up for your community locally by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word: hfhclinic.org

In 2025, free and charitable clinics provided 8.2 million patient visits and served 1.9 million unduplicated patients, including 722,000 new patients.

These numbers represent more than visits. They reflect the dedication of clinic teams, volunteers, partners, and supporters working every day to expand access to compassionate care in communities across the country.

Thank you to our members for making this impact possible. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Diabetes and Your Eyes πŸ‘€

If you have diabetes, protecting your vision is just as important as managing your blood sugar. High blood sugar can damage the tiny blood vessels in your eyes, sometimes without any symptoms at first.

That's why regular eye exams are so importantβ€”catching changes early can prevent serious vision loss.

At Holland Free Health Clinic, our Vision Program is here to help. We provide comprehensive eye exams and care for uninsured and underinsured adults in Ottawa County, at no cost to you. Visit hfhclinic.org

Wellness Wednesday!

Stress doesn't just live in your head β€” it lives in your jaw.

A few things that can help:
🦷 Be mindful of clenching during the day β€” at your desk, in the car, scrolling
πŸ’† Try gentle jaw stretches or massage to release tension
β˜• Cut back on caffeine β€” it can make muscle tension worse
😴 Prioritize sleep and stress management β€” it all connects
πŸͺ₯ See your dentist β€” they can spot wear patterns early

Donate a Smile was almost a month ago and we are still feeling it. πŸ’™

The response from this community was incredible β€” and it's a reminder of just how real the need is. People are counting on us every single week, and our dental program is feeling that demand more than ever.

If you're a dentist, hygienist, or dental assistant looking for a meaningful way to give back β€” we need YOU. Our dental volunteer network is the backbone of the free care we provide, and there is always room for more hands.

Not in dentistry? We have a place for you too.
