Sometimes, hope looks like one more week.

For the past year, Flora and her two children, 16-year-old Adan and 11-year-old Claire, have been living in a hotel after losing their home.

“I’m doing everything I can to provide for my children. Keeping a roof over our heads and having a way to get to work are my priorities.”

Flora is working hard, patiently waiting for permanent housing. Until that day comes, the hotel is home for her family. This week, she came to Lifeline Ministries needing help with one more week of hotel costs — $437 due this Thursday.

For Flora, this isn’t just a hotel bill. It’s a safe place for her children to sleep. It’s stability while she works and waits. It’s a little more time to keep moving forward.

After the rain we received last night, we’re reminded how grateful we are for the simple things—a dry place to sleep, clean clothes, and the comfort of knowing someone cares.
