Not only to LED bulbs last up approximately 50 times longer than an incandescent bulb, LED bulbs produce less heat, use less energy than incandescent bulbs are are more cost-effective over time.

We've partnered with Michigan Saves, a non-profit organization that works to improve access to commercial and residential energy improvements for Michigan residents. Based out of Lansing, they provide a comprehensive database of approved and authorized contractors to complete energy-saving projects throughout the state.

Did you know that the Holland Board of Public Works offers rebates on select energy-efficient home appliances as part of their Energy Smart Program? Product rebates range from $3.50 to $150 and include a variety of items from LED light bulbs to dehumidifiers to gas furnaces with ECM monitors! It's just another way the Holland community is working towards a more sustainable future.

FAQ: How much do I have to spend on improvements before I can take advantage of the program's rebate?

A: Right now we require program participants to spend a minimum of $10,000 on comprehensive home energy improvements in order to qualify for the program's rebate grant. If you have any additional questions on the program, reach out to us via out website or by sending us a private message!

With this program, we were able to replace all of our windows, upgrade most of our exterior doors, and insulate our basement, crawlspace and attic. FAQ: How do I qualify for the Holland Home Energy Retrofit Program?

A: There are three simple qualifications to participate in the program:

1) Be a homeowner in the City of Holland.
2) Schedule an energy assessment of your home and develop a home-update plan.
3) Spend at least $10,000 on qualifying improvements to get a 20%* grant rebate back on work completed!
