Important update for our community: Michigan has made changes to Medicaid eligibility for non-citizens.

If you or someone you know relies on Medicaid, it's worth taking a few minutes to understand what's changing and how it may affect your coverage. These rules can be confusing, and the details matter.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has published the official information here:

Please save this post and share it with anyone who may need it. And as always, every situation is different. If you have questions about how a change like this could affect your case, don't hesitate to reach out.

A new Michigan Bridge Card is on the way.

Beginning in August, new chip and tap-enabled Bridge Cards will be mailed to Michigan food and cash assistance recipients at no cost.

Your benefits and account aren't changing, and your current card will continue to work until your new card is activated (or through Oct. 30, whichever comes first).

Before your new card arrives, take a moment to make sure your mailing address is up to date in MI Bridges.

Support the Allegan/Ottawa/Barry Migrant Resource Council (AOB MRC) by purchasing one of our fundraiser caps! 🧢
This is our only fundraiser of the year, and every cap sold helps us continue supporting migrant and seasonal farmworker families in our community.

To make things even more fun, our two co-chairs, Christian Garcia and Abby Teasley, are having a friendly competition to see who can sell the most caps in the next two weeks!

When you place your order, be sure to choose either Christian or Abby on the order form so your purchase counts toward their total.

The Allegan/Ottawa/Barry Migrant Resource Council (AOB MRC) is a coalition of local agencies, organizations, and community members dedicated to improving the quality of life for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families. We help connect workers with food and basic necessities, health care, educational resources, community services, and host events that recognize and support the hardworking people who help keep our agricultural community thriving.

Not a hat person? No problem! ❤️ You can still purchase a cap and choose to donate it to a migrant or seasonal farmworker, making your purchase a meaningful gift while supporting our fundraiser.

Every cap purchased makes a difference. Thank you for supporting the AOB Migrant Resource Council and don't forget to pick Team Christian or Team Abby when you order! Let's see who takes home the bragging rights! 🧢🏆
