I'm not saying this listing is a scam, or is an attempt to lure people in and rob them, but it's a man not a woman selling it, the address was 45 minutes away from the listing address, and although I was talking to the "seller" and texting back and forth he never showed up. Either he doesn't live at the address he gave me or he's selling it for someone else IDK. I wouldn't waste your time.

I wasted an hour and a half driving there with a trailer and an hour waiting.

Got the rest of the East fields baled without a hitch. This old Vermeer 605H baler has done well by us over the years...but it may be time to upgrade.

Well the rain stopped long enough for us to bale ONE field...it's "extra clean" hay because it was washed about 8 times ...

Well the rain stopped long enough for us to bale ONE field...it's "extra clean" hay because it was washed about 8 times with rain. This is all going to a neighbor of mine who had some health issues and although it's not perfect he's mighty happy to have it. Looks like dry weather for the next week so we'll see about baling the rest of the Lost Heifer hay.

Got my neighbor's "lost heifer' penned up and he came over and got it.

This week we proved once again that the best way to make it rain is to cut hay. Last week they said 20% chance of rain. Cut the hay on Friday just in time for NWS to change the forecast to 80%. By Sunday morning it was almost ready to bale, I got up early and raked it...and here come the rain.

Neighbor had a young steer and this heifer escape and wander over to the The Lost Heifer. After almost a month the heifer is coming in to cow cubes sprinkled in a pen. Hopefully she will be homeward bound in a few days...

Still no water. The novelty of sponge baths is wearing off. For some reason Jack Nicholson's character in "The Shining" seems perfectly reasonable to me now.

Power has been on for 24 hours now, internet came on last night. Still no water. Yesterday we boiled pool water and washed the dishes we have accumulated over the last week. Got out on the road before dark, treacherous still but starting to see some pavement under the ice. Supposed to get above freezing today. Whoop!
