Today, June 3rd, is National Love Conquers All day.

When Dan was first diagnosed in 2012, our family embodied “Love Conquers All”. From camo bracelets to hoodies, we proudly speak these three special words in everything that we do.

So today and everyday, LOVE will forever CONQUER ALL.

1 Corinthians 13

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

After almost a year of editing, praying, and trusting God, I finally received the hardcover (and paperback) copies of How I Know There Is a God. In total, this is a 7-year project that has come to life!

This book is a collection of real-life stories that reveal the presence of God through faith, God moments, medical miracles and answered prayer.

I am excited to begin sharing this journey with all of you. Official ordering information will be available soon, and I will post updates here as soon as I have them!

Thank you to friends and family for your encouragement, prayers, and support along the way.

A special thank you to the faith filled people who entrusted me with their stories. My prayer is that these testimonies will encourage others to see God in the details of everyday life.

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Lauren Bishop, one of our 2026 scholarship recipients, at her senior awards ceremony at Central Catholic High School.

This year‘s recipients embody the virtues that exemplify what the Catholic faith truly means. Dan had a strong belief that Catholic education was important for his daughters and this scholarship helps our foundation continue Dan’s passion and commitment to supporting that for others. This scholarship also serves as an additional resource to those families who have made the ultimate sacrifice to send their children to an area Catholic high school.

Congratulations on all of your achievements, Lauren. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. We know that you will do great and BIG things!

Congratulations, Morgan!

Congratulations to senior Morgan Smith on receiving a $1,500 scholarship from The Dan Moeller Foundation!

The Dan Moeller Foundation is dedicated to supporting pediatric mental health and promoting faith-based resilience among youth. They believe that personal strength, virtue, and faith often grow through life’s challenges. This scholarship honors Catholic high school seniors who have demonstrated perseverance, strong moral character, and faith while overcoming personal adversity.

Morgan is planning to attend Ohio University and major in Human Development and Family Science with the hope of becoming a Child Life Specialist working with pediatric oncology patients.

Morgan Smith of Notre Dame Academy and Lauren Bishop of Central Catholic High School.

With the support of those who attended our Gala, we were able to award two runner-up scholarships. Each recipient will receive $1,500 each to go towards their college education.

Morgan Smith of NDA, is a standout in the school’s strong faith and social culture. She was a member of the school’s freshman, JV, and Varsity Volleyball teams, as well as serving as a captain. She has excelled in the school’s IB curriculum, as well in the demanding regimen of the Arts course.

Earning 1st Honors, Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key and Honorable Mention Recipient, Marcy Kaptur congressional Art Exhibition Two-year finalist and winner, The Focus Show Jurors Award, The Focus Show Presidential Award, and The SHINE Women’s Summit Best in class. She is an CHSL Scholastic All Catholic District, All Academic, and CYO Outstanding High School Athlete.

Serving on executive student council, art club, national arts society, and several clubs. She volunteered on the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, Yes Project, and Food for Thought. She is active within her home parish, as well as serving on the retreat team at NDA. Morgan will be attending Ohio University in the fall.

Lauren Bishop of CCHS, played JV Basketball and Varsity Tennis, as well as serving as Captain for the tennis team her Junior and Senior year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the IrishTHON Core Team.

Additionally, she served as a Sideline Spirit Member, Insignis Society, and a Student Ambassador.

Lauren is involved with volunteering as she was a youth Tennis Coach at Twos Athletic Club, a volunteer youth Basketball Coach at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns and a member of the IrishTHON Core team. She also served as a Kairos Primary Senior Leader, a Sophomore Retreat Leader, Campus Ministry, and a Eucharistic Minister.
Academically, she excelled as an Academic Letter, Academic Pin, National Honor Society, Irish Scholar, Governor's Merit Scholarship Awardee, and AP Scholar with Honor.

Lauren will be attending the University of Toledo in the fall.

Congratulations to James Ingle ’26 who was recently awarded the first-ever Dan Moeller Foundation Senior Scholarship! The $5,000 award, given in memory of Holy Trinity parishioner Dan Moeller, was recently presented to Ingle at the 3rd Annual Gala. He was the only recipient, selected on the criteria of an application process that included a 500–750 word essay.
