Season's Greeting!

We've enjoyed a bountiful harvest of students this year, who's hearty zeal has kept our classes overflowing.

This is an alternative way to say that all new inquiries will join a wait list for classes in the new year, possibly around May, but also making no promises. Contacts who have already made an reservation will be fulfilled (our March/April sessions are full; no Jan/Feb intakes).

Our gratitude for new sword-friends is endless but our rental space is not.

The UCSA still has room to accommodate new students on Thursdays and Saturdays; joining classes is the first step to studying in our sword community so please see our Community calendar for all the details.

Two belated bearpits last night: Instructor Nate and Instructor Kirsten fought a dual bearpit with challenger's weapon choice (Markers not included). Due to the nature of swapping weapons, exchanges were limited to two per challenger per the amount of years they needed to fence.

Birthday bearpits keep rolling out in the summer! Rodney and Bryce each fought with mixed weapons for 2 exchanges per person per year. These types of endurance exercises are a great way to test energy expenditure and learning oneself over many different opponents.

Our local Jacobs fought a tandem bearpit, any weapon, to 3 exchanges per year.
