I’m so lucky to have had the chance to meet and love on this sweet boy back in May. He absolutely melted my heart. Send some love to his mom and dad, this loss is a big one 😞❤️🩹
Today is one of those days that reminds you that in rescue, you just can’t seem to have a good day without eventually having a hard one.
Today, we lost our Will Ferret. 💔
Will had been with us for over a year, and we are so grateful for every moment. Many of you may know him as our OF (OnlyFerrets) star, but to us, he was our Will.
We knew recently that his insulinoma was beginning to take its toll on him. We held onto hope against hope that he would keep fighting the good fight, because that was who Will was. A warrior. A legend. Absolutely larger than life.
Will battled adrenal disease, insulinoma, lymphoma, and most recently, an enlarged spleen. His little body had been fighting so many battles, yet somehow his personality always managed to shine through.
Will loved his friends. ❤️ He was the resident groomer of all, whether they wanted to be groomed or not. 😂
There is going to be an enormous hole here without him. His presence was impossible to miss, and his absence will be felt in every corner.
Will, you were truly one of a kind. Thank you for every laugh, every cuddle, every ridiculous grooming session, every OF appearance, and every moment you shared with us.
Run free, sweet boy- be with your best bud Murdock. You fought so hard. You were loved so very much. 🌈💔
"He was a goodly spirit—he who fell
A wanderer by mossy mantled well
And gazed on the lights that shine above,
A dreamer in the moonbeam of his love."
— Al Aaraaf, Edgar Allan Poe
Rest peacefully, Will Ferret. You were a warrior, a legend, and you will never be forgotten. ❤️
