From assembling their Creality Ender 3 printers to troubleshooting, calibrating, and watching their creations take shape one layer at a time, our students were fully engaged in the learning process. It was incredible to see their focus, teamwork, and excitement as they brought their projects to life!

These moments capture what hands-on learning is all about—building confidence, developing technical skills, and discovering that today’s curiosity can become tomorrow’s career.

🖨️✨ What an Incredible Week at AmSkills’ 3D Printing Camp! ✨🖨️

From June 8–10 at the Lealman Exchange in Pinellas County, students immersed themselves in the exciting world of 3D printing during our hands-on summer camp led by the fantastic Mr. Martin! 👏

Over the course of the camp, students learned how 3D printers work, assembled and operated Creality Ender 3 printers, and transformed their ideas into real, tangible creations. They gained firsthand experience with the technology behind additive manufacturing while exploring the many career pathways available in engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Their creativity was on full display through projects such as:
🔹 Personalized keychains
🔹 A magnetic fish puzzle 🐟
🔹 Cats and creature figurines 🐱🍀
🔹 Character models and collectibles 🦎
🔹 Functional printed items 🧰
🔹 A 3D-printed soccer ball ⚽

Along the way, students strengthened valuable skills including:
✅ Problem-solving
✅ Critical thinking
✅ Creativity and design
✅ Attention to detail
✅ Persistence and adaptability
✅ Technical confidence

The camp wasn’t just about printing objects—it was about inspiring the next generation of makers, innovators, and problem-solvers to discover what’s possible when creativity meets technology.

What an incredible day as we celebrated the graduates of our 50th Career Discovery Bootcamp and recognized the outstanding accomplishments of our students, homeschool participants, industry partners, sponsors, families, and community supporters!

Another incredible week at AmSkills Bootcamp #50! 👏🔧⚡

On Tuesday, students continued building their technical knowledge through Snap-on Tools electricity training and gained valuable industry insight during our Lunch & Learn with Infinity Controls, Inc. A huge thank you to Infinity Controls for spending time with our students and sharing about careers in the field! Students also rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on residential wiring project. 🏠💡😊

Wednesday brought more Snap-on electricity training, along with a special Lunch & Learn presentation from Maxi with Fifth Third Bank — thank you for encouraging and investing in our students! Students also worked on constructing their own certificate frames as part of their hands-on project. 🖼️🔨

Today, students practiced their interview skills with mock interviews led by Careersource Pasco Hernando. Thank you for helping prepare our students for real-world opportunities and employer interviews! Students also participated in a fun and challenging escape room hands-on project that tested teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. 🔐🧠

Tomorrow is an exciting day as students will meet and interview with employers from Pasco County, Florida, Government Utilities, Infinity Controls, and Chromalloy! We are so proud of how far these students have come in just two weeks and can’t wait to celebrate their accomplishments. 🎉

🚀 Bootcamp #50 – Day 5 Highlights at AmSkills! 🔧⚡

Day 5 was all about precision, focus, and hands-on technical skill building as our Bootcamp #50 students dove into soldering projects! Students rolled up their sleeves and put steady hands to work learning proper soldering techniques, developing fine motor skills, and gaining real-world experience assembling and connecting components. These hands-on activities help build the practical skills used every day in advanced manufacturing, electronics, and technical careers.

A huge thank you as well to our Lunch & Learn guest speakers from Chromalloy, Shawn Ryan and Connie Aragon, for taking time to invest in our students. We appreciate you sharing your industry knowledge, career insights, and real-world experiences that help connect classroom learning to exciting career opportunities. Hearing directly from industry professionals gives students valuable perspective on the pathways available to them and what it takes to succeed in the workforce.

🚀🤖 Bootcamp #50 – Day 4: Innovation in Action! 🤖🚀

Another exciting day of hands-on learning for our Career Discovery Bootcamp students! Today, students rolled up their sleeves and put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work by constructing and operating their own robots. From building to testing movement and functionality, students gained real-world experience with robotics concepts while seeing their creations come to life!

📢 During our Lunch & Learn, we were honored to welcome Jake and Jamie from Our Children Have Rights, who delivered an engaging and impactful presentation. Their organization focuses on supporting children and families by promoting healthy co-parenting strategies, education, and access to resources that help strengthen family relationships and support systems. Students had the opportunity to hear about the importance of advocacy, community impact, and how organizations can create meaningful change in people’s lives. Thank you, Jake and Jamie, for sharing your mission and inspiring our students with the value of serving and strengthening communities.

🏗️ The learning continued into the afternoon as students explored 3D printing technology by creating a 3D-printed Eiffel Tower project, giving them hands-on exposure to modern manufacturing processes and the exciting possibilities of design and innovation.

Every day brings new skills, new experiences, and another step toward future career opportunities!
