7th Grade Ag Students have spent the month of May perfecting their shop safety skills while showcasing their creativity through a lamp project. Students had to learn about Shop Safety and pass a safety test, cut their own lamp base, drill a hole for their lap rod and wire their lamp - while being mentored by older students! See these projects at the fair later this summer!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the special people in our FFA Member’s lives that help us to be successful each and everyday. Whether you are helping to make sure our official dress or FFA shirts are washed and ready to go, bringing last minute items to the school before leaving for a leadership conference or simply being there for our Ag Students at the end of a long day; we appreciate you, respect you, and thank you. Enjoy your day!

Our last stop was a full day of convention. Our members checked out the Career Expo and attended 2 sessions. Alex and Aiden were both recognized for their gold rated secretary and treasurer books. Then Alex walked across the stage again to receive his State FFA Degree, an achievement that less than 4% of Ohio FFA Members earn!

The Environmental Science Committee is ready to recycle your electronics! You will find cones set up in the bus parking lot. Drive through the cones and drop off your electronics at your convenience. We will have cardboard bins set up now through Saturday at noon!

Mid-March ended in a whirlwind! Our Ag Day Committee Organized a Drive Your Tractor/Truck to School Day to celebrate National Ag Day complete with prizes for our winners! Then we hosted an Ag Department Open House that allowed students to showcase their shop skills. The Animal and Plant Science class finished up their plant science unit by learning about grafting. They grafted two different “species” of Twizzlers to complete their grafting lesson!
