Have you noticed the striking Iron Horse Arts District logo displayed at the entrance of our new gallery?

We're incredibly grateful to Mike Smith of Smithski Welding /Smithski's Pantry/ Lumber Jack Grilling Pellets for transforming our logo into this beautiful work of art and generously donating it to Iron Horse! His craftsmanship and creativity make a memorable first impression and help showcase the artistic spirit that defines our district.

Thank you, Mike, for helping make our gallery a true work of art from the very first glance!

Stop by our gallery tomorrow (June 20) from noon-2 p.m. during the Midsummer Fest Street Market to see our new space and enjoy the art of Christy Kosmicki.

We are loving Midtown Sculpture Garden's new sunshade! Just in time for the Midsummer Festival activities this weekend!

Thanks to the City of Holdrege, the sun shade has been installed in the sculpture garden. Come down and enjoy this beautiful space during the Midsummer Festival. 🇸🇪

We recently hosted our first painting event at the new Iron Horse Arts District Gallery, and what a fun afternoon it was! Iron Horse board member Nancy Wiese guided participants step-by-step as they created beautiful daisy paintings, and the results were incredible. There is some serious talent in this group!

A special thank you to Sherry McClymont for purchasing this painting experience at our Art After Dark auction earlier this year. We loved bringing this creative gathering to life and look forward to hosting more events in the gallery soon! 🌼🖌️✨

A huge thank you to our featured HHS alumnus Elijah Watson for traveling all the way from Los Angeles to present at this year's Artisan Expo! We loved learning about visual effects and your upcoming documentary.

Thank you to Del Pearson Custom Builds for the wonderful work renovating the First State Bank community room into the Iron Horse Arts District gallery!

Del's photos give a good before and after of the new gallery. The gallery will be open Saturday, June 20, from Noon-2 p.m. and is currently showcasing the work of former HHS art teacher Christy Kosmicki.

We were so happy to have Colleen Williams from Colleen Williams presents at our Artisan Expo this year! She interviewed each artist and tried all the delicious food! Thanks to Colleen for taking the time to travel to Holdrege for our event!

We are delighted that longtime HHS art teacher Christy Kosmicki is our first featured artist in the new Iron Horse Art Gallery.

Mrs. Kosmicki taught art at HHS from 1981 to 2014 and influenced so many students who have gone on to have artistic careers and create amazing art themselves.

If you would like to purchase any of her art or schedule a private gallery tour, please reach out to her, message us on Facebook or reach out to any Iron Horse board member. Her show will be in the gallery until July 6.
