Welcome 2026 AmeriCorps! In their first (almost) month Hailey and Maggi are diving into all things Squam, stewardship, and conservation.

We want to give a big welcome to our new cohort of half year LRCC AmeriCorps. We are so excited for them to join us!

They will be serving the community in various conservation efforts throughout the Lakes Region, participating in water quality monitoring, trails maintenance, conservation easement monitoring and so much more. You can find them sprinkled throughout New Hampshire with local environmental non-profits: (Chocorua Lake Conservancy), (Lakes Region Conservation Trust), (Newfound Lake Region Association), and Lakes Conservation Society (Squam Lake Conservation Society).

🌍 Happy Earth Day! This week, we teamed up with students and faculty from Holderness School for a hands-on morning of trail maintenance at the Dot Banks Trail on our Tompkins Preserve in Sandwich. Armed with rakes, loppers, and plenty of enthusiasm, this incredible group helped keep the trail in great shape for the season ahead. 🌿

There's nothing better than spending a day giving back to the land we love. A huge thank you to everyone from Holderness School who rolled up their sleeves and got to work — you made a real difference! 💚
