NATIONAL RETURN TO ROWING DAY! There’s something special about getting back in a shell and feeling the boat move again.

On May 30, Squam Community Rowing (Holderness NH) will take part in National Return to Rowing Day, a nationwide effort to welcome former rowers back to the sport, whether you rowed last season or decades ago.

This session is geared toward experienced rowers interested in trying out Squam Community Rowing in a fun, low-pressure environment. Whether you rowed in college, at a club, in high school, or somewhere in between, this is a chance to reconnect with the water, the rhythm, and the rowing community.

National Return to Rowing Day encourages rowing organizations across the country to open their doors and make it easy for former rowers to find their way back to the boathouse.

Interested in joining us on May 30? Reach out to Squam Community Rowing at [email protected] for details.

SCR goes international! What a lovely reminder of summer from Klaus, a guest rower this summer from Germany. Hope to see you again soon Klaus.

SCR at the NH Championships!

We’re so proud of our SCR athletes who represented our club with heart and determination:
🌟 Corbin - crushed his very first race in the men’s open 1x! What a way to start your racing career!
🌟 Kim & Yvonne - powered through in the women’s 2x with great teamwork!

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing support crew who made this possible:
✨ Bryan - for handling all the logistics
✨ Susan & John - for the coaching and inspiration that got our rowers ready
✨ Kathy, Molly & Wendy B - for braving the wind and cold to cheer them on!

This is what community rowing is all about 💙

Sharpening our strokes!
Over five Wednesday mornings, led by coach John Lin, our scullers dug into 10 focused drills to refine blade work, sequencing, and power. By the final session, everyone was rowing smoother, stronger, and with more confidence. Watch for more Squam Community Rowing workshops!
