Bright Futures Holden Together... committing all that we are to enrich the life of a child. This enables students and teachers to focus on education and achieving success.

Bright Futures Holden works within the Holden School District to connect student needs with existing community resources. The Bright Futures model brings together businesses, human service agencies, faith-based organizations, and parent groups and partners them with schools in a way that helps them to quickly and efficiently meet students’ basic needs – often within 24 hours. Bright Futures Holden

works to create an environment where education is valued and responsibility for student success is shared. Bright Futures operates under the belief that when a community invests its time, talent, and treasure into its schools, students are more likely to stay in school through graduation, have a higher degree of self-worth and confidence, and set and reach goals for the future. In turn, these students grow up to be better neighbors, quality employees, and impactful leaders in their communities.

We can always use pants (sizes 5T-8), kids shoes, 3-ring binders, earbuds/headphones, and mostly we need prepackaged, shelf-stable food items for our Snacks to Go program!

Thank you to the agencies/individuals who provided information to our students/families at the Resource Fair! Thank you to Shellie Morrison for donating her time to cut hair, Johnson County Health Services for providing immunizations, and Brandin Campbell/colleagues for providing sports physicals! It was a great evening!

The Bright Futures Resource Fair is this Thursday, from 4:30-6:30 pm at the HHS Cafeteria! There will be free haircuts offered and free sports physicals for students, with guardian permission! Required immunizations will be offered! Many area helping agencies will be in attendance to provide information!
