Bikes for Books is such a great program. For almost 2 decades, Masons have worked with local schools and libraries to encourage kids to read. This past year, the Foundation in partnership with over 100 local Masonic Lodges gave away over 1,800 bikes!!! Here is just one of the Lodge's events...

Bikes for Books was started by a Masonic Lodge in Western Maine almost two decades ago.

Still getting the last of the meals to the far reaches of Maine...taking a trip to Newport and Bangor on Monday with 30 cases (over 6,000 meals).

UNE’s Service-Learning program that started the Meals for Maine events in 2023 partnered with the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation on March 25 for the second time in a year to help get 50,000 healthy rice-and-beans packaged meals to those who face hunger insecurity across Maine's 16 counties.

If you hadn't heard, the State Troopers Association was raising money to put a memorial honoring fallen Troopers at the Rte 95 Kennebunk rest area. I just learned that the State Troopers Foundation exceeded their fundraising goal of $30,000 by $10,000, raising a total of $40,000 for this project.

I am proud to share that Masons and several Masonic Lodges here in Maine (some using matching funds provided by the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation) contributed over 20% to this wonderful project. Job well done! Thank you to all involved.

I was thrilled to be invited to the grand opening of the Webster Food Bank, named after our very own Jim Webster, for all his hard work in making this wood bank a reality. This truly shows what you can accomplish when a community comes together. Thank you to the nine (9) Maine Masonic Lodges (see the list below) in the 15th District for their contributions which the Foundation matched for a grand total of $20,000.
