HLT Trails At The Hart Farm are looking good after Volunteer trail day. Drainage was improved at some wet sections of the trail, a large blowdown was removed, and lots of cleanup done. More improvements are planned.

Come walk the trails and watch spring turn into summer🥾

Let us know how you like the walk!

The HLT Trails at the Hart Farm have gotten a facelift!

With a generous donation of 8 yards of gravel from Mike Nelligan, a local businessman and friend, volunteers have made improvements. We removed the long section of old, slippery boardwalks and graveled portions on the typically wet and muddy section from the trailhead gate down through the woods making the trail safer and smooth. Look for more improvements to the trail. If you are interested in joining our volunteers group, message us or email at holdenlandtrustME@ gmail.com.
Many thanks to Mike Nelligan for his continued interest and support of the HLT🙂

New signage has been placed on the Shelterwood Trail. Several strong wind storms in the past year caused extensive downed trees necessitating a timber salvage operation and re-routing the trail. The trail is now open.

HLT TRAIL VOLUNTEER DAY May3- 9:00-Noon

Come help improve the trails!
The Holden Land Trust (HLT) trails at the Hart Farm are enjoying frequent visitors. It is time to do some improvements and maintenance. The HTL board would love your help!
There are 2 tasks we would like to accomplish:
• Clean up after tree removal from the Shelterwood Trail
• Improve water drainage along the trail.
Please bring your work gloves, rake, hoe (etc.) and drinking water. Some areas will still be wet so plan accordingly. We’ll meet in the HLT parking area on Copeland Hill. We hope you will join us.
Please RSVP to [email protected]
