114 By the Sea

This lovely garden of Marianne Hahn was chided to be Septembers YOM!! Vibrant colors burst from zinnias, butterfly w**d and numerous other gorgeous blooms!! The best surprise is the number of bees buzzing around her African Basil!! Pollinator attracting plants are always a plus for a great garden!!

🌿✨ Discover Our Tactile Garden ✨🌿

Gardens delight more than just the eyes. They engage all of your senses—from the vibrant colors of blooming flowers and earthy fragrances of soil and mulch, to the sounds of buzzing bees and singing birds.

This year at Padgett Park, we've created a Tactile Garden—a garden designed to be experienced through touch. Swipe through the photos to explore a variety of unique leaf textures and forms:

🪴 Achillea ‘Strawberry Seduction’ – Light, soft, and feather-like foliage. (Photo 2)
🌱 Artemisia ‘Silver Bullet’ – Velvety, fuzzy leaves that feel like soft velour fabric. (Photo 3)
🍃 Cordyline ‘Red Sensation’ – Smooth, sleek, elongated leaves. (Photo 4)
🌸 Calibrachoa Superbells Cherry Red Improved – Small leaves covered in fine hairs, creating a unique tactile experience. (Photo 5)
💚 Sedum ‘Angelina’ – Tiny succulent leaves with a rounded shape and rubbery texture. (Photo 6)

Next time you're visiting, take a moment to experience the garden with more than just your eyes. Stop by Padgett Park and stimulate your senses today! 🌿👋

The Holden Beach Beautification Club has chosen the home of Amanda and Bubba Rollins at 147 Carolina Drive. Colorful Vinca immediately draws the eye to the garden. They are joined by Sega Palms and wandering Jew. A closer inspection reveals bursts of color from deep purple hanging baskets. Thanks, Bubba and Amanda for making our island more beautiful.
