08/19/2026

At approximately 0508 on 8/18/26 HVFD received a report of a fully engulfed structure near the City of Holbrook dump. Further reports confirmed a fully engulfed house on the corner of W Alvarado and Santiago street. Engine 2 was the first arriving engine, crews deployed a 1 3/4 attack line and began attacking the structure fire from the rear of the structure, Second arriving engine was engine 25, crews deployed second 1 3/4 attack line and began attacking the fire from the front of the structure. A water supply was established by a third arriving engine, engine 97, Crews worked the fire and extinguished the fire and conducted overhaul operations. Structure was vacant, and no there were no threats to life or other structures.

08/15/2026

At approximately 14:09 on 8/14/26 HVFD responded to a report of a two vehicle head on collision on highway 377 mile post 25. While HVFD crews were en route, we received a report that one vehicle was fully engulfed. HVFD responded with two command vehicles, and 2 engines. Upon arrival HVFD crews found one vehicle fully engulfed, all occupants had been extricated and were not affected by the engulfed vehicle. Crews deployed an attack line and extinguished the fire. After the fire was mitigated, HVFD personnel assisted Holbrook EMS.

07/15/2026

On 7/13 at approximately 1344 HVFD responded to a single vehicle fire on west Erie and 5th ave. All occupants of the vehicle were able to self extricate. HVFD deployed a 1 3/4 attack line and extinguished the vehicle fire. HVFD cleared the scene.

On 7/12 at approximately 1645 HVFD responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Navajo blvd and Iowa. There was no need for extrication. HVFD contained a spill and preformed traffic control, while vehicles involved were being towed. HVFD cleared the scene.

End the day with us at the Navajo County Complex for a hand-lit fireworks display starting at dark.

At approximately 2130 on 6/25 HVFD responded to a hit fuel pump located at Maverick on Navajo Boulevard. Upon arrived no active fuel was leaking. HVFD contained the spilled fuel, and cleared the scene.

At approximately 18:50 on 4/13/26, HVFD received a report of the Sahara Inn fully engulfed. Upon arrival, HVFD crews found that only a portion of the building was involved. Engine 25 was first on scene; crews deployed a 1 3/4-inch attack line and began working the fire.

Engine 2 and Engine 14 arrived shortly after, bringing additional crews and establishing a water supply. Crews attacked the fire, pushing it back on itself. They were able to make a strong attack, preventing any further extension.

Crews then worked to extinguish the seat of the fire and transitioned into overhaul operations, extinguishing all remaining hot spots.
