Hello Everyone,

The shoe boxes are here! 🙂. As many of you may already know every year OHN collects gifts in form of a wrapped shoe box filled with toiletries, school supplies, arts & crafts, accessories, clothing, toys, greeting note etc... The boxes are sorted by gender and age and are than given to the children on the holidays. This year we will be shipping out the boxes on this coming Sunday. For anyone who would like to contribute, no worries for there is still time to make your box or you can donate a gift of any amount and it will go towards the shipping cost. We would like to take a moment and thank everyone who has already donated or plans to do so. During this time of year, we understand how challenging it may be and we want you to know that we appreciate the sacrifice and all of your efforts. Although, the Christmas/Hanukkah and Kwanzaa celebrations are short lived the impression your gift will have on a child is forever.

Operation Help Now Inc
“Back to School Campaign”

Operation Help Now, Inc. is appealing to all our friends to donate school supplies for the children of the Second Chance Orphanage in Hasting, Freetown, Sierra Leone, and West Africa

Operation help Now, Inc. mission is to address the needs of homeless and street children in Sierra Leone, by providing child sponsorship, shelter for homeless children and youth, including orphans, education and health care.

The Children in our orphanage need the following school supplies:
1. Note books
2. Pens and Pencils
3. Rulers
4. Calculators
5. Back pads
Education in Sierra Leone is for those who can afford it. The children in our orphanage are at-risk and economically disadvantaged children, who will not attend school without our help. In view of this, I am appealing for your financial assistance. Operation Help Now Inc is a tax-exempt organization and your financial contributions is tax deductible. Hello Friends,

Hope all is well. Below is a list of items that are needed for the children in the orphan. The clothes are much needed. The children have extremely few. Consumable school supplies always need to be replaced, an they use them much more efficiently.Thank you for you assistance. We are grateful.

1. Gently used or new clothing for children: ages 1-15 (preferably summer items - please no sweaters or coats; no tears or stains)
2. School supplies (pencils, erasers, crayons, folders, backpacks, kid scissors, notepaper, tablets, etc.)
3. Computers
4. Over-the-counter medicines for children (Tylenol, aspirin, band-aids, etc.)
5. Hygiene items children (lotion, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, towels)
6. Toys for the children (non-battery operated educational toys, dolls, stuffed toys).

Let us not forget about the helping hands we can offer to people. Remember none of us has come this far in life without someone offering us some type of support.
