KEEPING THE SPIRIT OF THE OLD WEST ALIVE

We are the Navajo County Hashknife Posse a Volunteer Search and Rescue group that does an annual historic pony express ride from our little Route 66 town of Holbrook, AZ to Scottsdale, AZ for the past 68 years!!

Six the horse is a Hashknife Pony Express Mail Carrier once a year for 3 days but for the rest of the year he’s a best buddy to the Reynolds family. He helps gather cattle, goes on camp outs and competes in Rodeos and Gymkhanas!!

This is 3 Bears Cafe in Heber-Overgaard, Arizona where we stop and have lunch waiting for the riders and crew. Lunch was prepared for us by Even and Cisco (in the first picture) which was delicious, thank you guys. The Public is also invited to come visit with us during our annual ride! 3 Bears Cafe is a great place to stop anytime, they have delicious food and friendly service.
