UPDATE ALL ROADS REOPENED AS OF 1PM

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️

Crews are operating in the area of 7th Street & Lehigh Street after a tractor-trailer brought down power lines.

🚧 Road Closures: • Lehigh Street is closed from Route 145 to Front Street
• 7th Street is closed from Eberhart Road to Lehigh Street

Please use caution in the area, avoid the closures if possible, and expect delays while crews work to clear the scene.

Please find an alternate route.

Tonight, members of Hokendauqua Fire Company were invited to stop by after the Hokey Eagles' sports practices to help everyone cool off after a hot evening. We were happy to spend some time with the players, coaches, and families, and hope everyone enjoyed a well-deserved cooldown.

Tonight, members of Hokendauqua Fire Company Station 38 joined our fellow Whitehall Township fire departments in celebrating National Night Out.

We'd like to thank the following members for taking the time to represent Station 38: • Firefighters Zach Bilder, Keith Bilder Jr., and James Vernet • Exterior Firefighter Jayden Fink • Junior Firefighters AJ Marakovits, DJ Fehnel, Jonathan Hernandez, and Alyssa Bandura

A special thank you to Deputy 35-1 for giving some of our junior firefighters a ride and helping make the evening even more memorable.

Over the past several weeks, members of Hokendauqua Fire Company had the opportunity to visit Camp Whitehall for our annual "Firetruck Fridays." Each week, campers enjoyed a brief fire safety presentation before getting an up-close look at our different fire apparatus, climbing aboard the trucks, and learning about the equipment we use to serve our community.

To wrap up each visit, everyone cooled off with a spray from the Squirt—always a favorite part of the day!

We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to Camp Whitehall for inviting us to be part of this great program, and to our dedicated members who volunteered their time to make these visits possible.

It's been a busy day for our crews with 4 calls so far, including a reported motor vehicle accident with rescue at everyone's favorite intersection—Route 145 & Mechanicsville Road. Fortunately, there was no entrapment upon our arrival.

Please slow down, stay alert, and obey all traffic laws and signage. They're there for a reason—to help keep everyone safe. A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference.
