๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Public Notice โ€“ Flag Retirement Ceremony Tonight ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The annual Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held tonight at the Hokey Legion. As part of the ceremony, retired American flags will be respectfully disposed of by fire.

Residents may notice smoke in the area during the event. This is expected and there is no cause for concern.

We thank everyone who helps honor our nation's flag with the dignity and respect it deserves.

๐Ÿš’ May 2026 Recap โ€“ Station 38 ๐Ÿš’
As May comes to a close, Station 38 has responded to 274 calls year-to-date, with 55 of those incidents occurring during the month of May alone.

With summer officially here and the hot weather settling in, our members will continue answering calls around the clock. To help keep our volunteers hydrated during training, emergencies, and extended incidents, water and Gatorade donations are always greatly appreciated. If you'd like to help support our members, please send us a message.

May was also a difficult month for our fire company as we mourned the loss of former firefighter Terry Clarke. Terry dedicated 22 years of service to the citizens of Whitehall Township and the Hokendauqua Fire Company, serving in many roles throughout his career. His dedication, leadership, and friendship will never be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

We would like to thank our members, their families, and our mutual aid partners for their continued support and dedication. As always, when the tones drop, the volunteers of Station 38 stand ready to answer the call.
๐Ÿ”ฅ 274 calls and counting. ๐Ÿš’ Proudly serving our community since 1930.

It is with deep sadness that the members of Station 38 announce the passing of former firefighter Terry Clarke.

Terry proudly served the citizens of Whitehall Township through his 22 years of dedicated service with the Hokendauqua Fire Company. During his time with the company, he rose through the ranks from firefighter to Lieutenant, then Captain, and ultimately Assistant Chief. His dedication, leadership, and years of service left a lasting impact on both the department and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to the Clarke family, friends, and all who served alongside him. Rest easy, Chief โ€” weโ€™ll take it from here. ๐Ÿš’
