The Reason We Support
GPS Kids Club is a non-profit organization that was formed to help older children in our community have a safe, faith based before/after school and summer program. They feed the kids supper around a common table, do a bible lesson daily, have staff that make sure the kids have their homework done, and offer the children many activities to keep them busy and engaged. This organization truly focus on bettering the children of our small community. They serve between 40-60 kids during the school year and have over 100 enrolled during the summer.
Here is where you are an integral part of their future. The organization operates out of an old church. It is the perfect location and is an excellent space for the kids and all of their activities, however the building is not up to code with the Fire Marshall. In a long series of events, we were recently told that the building and organization will be shut down on May 31st if a new fire alarm system is not installed by that date. The entire system is approximately $42,000 but the company will start install when the material costs can be paid for. Hence $20,000 Reasons. We are asking that 200 kindhearted, giving citizens step up to help us raise the funds needed to keep GPS open and operating for the children of this community.
With your generous donation your name will proudly be displayed on our Wall of Gratitude. This display will be unveiled and available for viewing at our future community dance and BBQ. It will eventually be permanently mounted for all to see at the GPS building.
GPS Kids Club is a non-profit organization seeking to fulfill the needs of children and families in our community and surrounding areas by providing quality supervised care for children, ages K-6th grade in a safe and nurturing environment while parents are working. Through our character focused, faith based program we provide a daily character lesson, academic enrichment, recreational activities, and healthy snacks and meals.
