This is an update from Barry's mom cindi.

Barry is still going to Physical and Occupational therapy everyday.

Please continue to pray for healing of nerves and surgical site.

He is dealing with cold sensation in his legs and feet and the burning and tingling of nerves waking up in feet and legs.

He is happy with the Therapists and learning routines that he can continue at home. Still negotiating around with the wheel chair and will be for awhile.

He’s making progress. Please continue to pray for his healing. 🙏🏼

Prayers for our classmate Barry Baxter. He got in a bad wreck i believe sunday. Please pray he heals quick. And pray for his family. This is his mom's post to keep u informed. Praying & thinking about you barry!

You have filled our hearts with love, compassion, and support since Barry’s accident.

We are deeply thankful for the First Responders who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to take care of him and check on him.

EMT’s

Vanderbilt and Lifeflight have been amazing and we are thankful for their expert care.

Yesterday he had surgery for a fractured T 12 and had two rods and pins placed. He also has facial fractures and a broken nose that was fixed
He is on a vent and will be coming off that today hopefully.
Barry is still in the trauma unit at Vanderbilt so visiting is limited.

Edit: Barry was alert this morning and responded to Kara. The plan is to work on getting him off the vent today ❤️

Thank you to Steve Vineyard and Jeremy Choate who helped recover his belongings and his Summertown Metals family for checking on him.

Mike and, I and Kara and Barry, and their children, ask for your continued prayers as we get Barry patched up and back up on his feet.
