🍪📚 One Smart Cookie! 📚🍪

What a sweet and meaningful day at West End Center! We were honored to welcome Mayor Jake Ayers of Hogansville, who shared the wonderful story One Smart Cookie by Jory John and surprised every child with a delicious cookie to enjoy.

This special visit is more than just storytime—it reflects the power of community partnerships. Get Troup Reading, Wellstar Small TALK, and West End Center are working together to strengthen early childhood development by helping children build language, literacy, and social-emotional skills from the very beginning.

When caring adults read with children, ask questions, have conversations, and make reading fun, they are building the brain connections that prepare children for success in school and in life. These everyday moments help develop communication, confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are grateful to Mayor Ayers for investing in the youngest members of our community and to our partners who continue to make early literacy a priority. Together, we are helping every child grow into a confident reader and lifelong learner—one story, one conversation, and yes…one smart cookie at a time! 💙📖
